The authors are, in order of the chapters: Philip José Farmer, Bill Knight, David Everson, Jerry Klein, Julie Kistler, Nancy Atherton, Steven Burgauer, Joel Steinfeldt, Joseph Flynn, Terry Bibo, Garry Moore, Tracy Knight and Dorothy Cannell.
These chapters were originally serialized in the Pekin Daily Times, in the newspaper's weekly magazines. See Farmer's chapter "Naked Came the Farmer".
