Down to Earth's
Centre |
|
 |
|
Three
chapters of a proposed novel about Doc Caliban. Meant to be a sequel
to the Doc Savage novel Up
from Earth's Center.
This excerpt is not the same as the other excerpt, "The
Monster on Hold", of a proposed Doc Caliban novel. |

DESCRIPTION:
Win Scott Eckert, in his foreword: "What follows are three chapters
from an earlier version of a Doc Caliban sequel; in order to avoid
confusion with Monster
we've chosen to call this excerpt by
one of Phil's earlier titles, Down
to Earth's Centre. There are several similarities and many
differences between the two manuscripts. However, both involve Doc
descending deep into a subterranean complex in New England to confront
an unspeakable evil. Both are meant to serve as a sequel to the final
Doc Savage novel published during the original pulp run, Up from Earth's Center,
written by Lester Dent".
